By taking part in an online Pilates class, you fully understand that your teacher is not able to offer any personal correction; you agree to take responsibility for your own body; you agree not to perform any exercises or movements that may cause you discomfort; and you confirm that you are fit and able to join the class. You must ensure that you are working in a safe environment and that you are able to clearly see and/or hear your teacher in order to follow instructions. It is your responsibility to let the teacher know before the class if anything affects your ability to exercise that day. By joining the class you automatically agree to waive all statutory rights against your teacher.
All home sessions must be cancelled with a minimum of 24-hours’ notice, otherwise will be payable in full.
Pilates classes and home sessions
All classes are to be paid for in advance and booked via your online account. Classes are kept to a maximum of 12 participants. The first 12 participants to book online will get the allotted spaces, and any clients thereafter will be turned away from that particular session.
Classes cancelled need to be done so via your online account only, and 24 hours’ or more before the start of the class you no longer wish to attend, in order not to forfeit the class. Any classes missed without 24 hours’ notification will be forfeited. It is your responsibility to ensure that you are able to access this site and cancel your sessions.
Forys Physio reserves the right to cancel a class when necessary and will endeavour to give at least 24 hours’ notice. You will not be charged for this class and may book another accordingly.
Please note: when you buy a package, it cannot be amended. It is your responsibility to ensure you have purchased the correct package at point of sale. Prices and packages are clearly displayed on the website. If in doubt, email [email protected]
Clients are allotted a set number of weeks in which to take the number of classes purchased. Only under specific medical circumstances will this time period be extended, or if the instructor has had to cancel a class and you were unable to attend any others in its place. The time frames for using your package are as follows:
- Pregnancy classes package – four sessions can be taken over a five week, six sessions can be taken over eight weeks and nine sessions over 12 weeks (excluding holidays and half term breaks).
- Group classes package – six sessions can be redeemed over eight weeks, nine sessions over 12 weeks and 12 sessions over 16 weeks (excluding holidays and half term breaks).
- Home sessions – five sessions can be redeemed over six weeks and 10 sessions over 12 weeks.
Forys Physio reserves the right to change the advertised teacher to an alternative suitable and qualified instructor without prior warning due to illness or unforeseen circumstances. All clients will be notified if possible to do so.
You must advise your instructor before commencing any session if for any reason your health or ability to exercise changes.
It is inadvisable to do pilates between weeks 8-14 of pregnancy, unless by special arrangement with your instructor. If you are pregnant, it is strongly advised that you check with your doctor or midwife at regular intervals that it is still appropriate to exercise.
Pilates exercises are very safe but, as with all forms of exercise, it is prudent to consult your doctor before starting sessions if you have concerns.
These classes and sessions are not a substitute for medical counselling or treatment. If you are in any doubt as to the suitability of any exercises, you should refer back to your medical practitioner. The instructor can accept no liability for personal injury related to a class or session if:
- your doctor or medical practitioner has, on health grounds, advised you against such exercise.
- you fail to observe instructions on safety or technique.
- such injury is caused by the negligence of another participant in the class or studio.
Exercise should be performed at a pace that feels comfortable for you. Pain is the body’s warning system and should not be ignored. Please inform your instructor if you feel any discomfort during a class or session. Please also inform the instructor if you felt any discomfort after a previous session.
In signing up for any of these classes or sessions, you understand that Body Control Pilates exercises involve hands-on correction, and you consent to your instructor working in this way.
Return or refund policy
Forys Physio does not issue refunds unless in exceptional circumstances. In all cases, any queries regarding refunds, receipt of monies etc MUST be made within the time duration of the package bought.
